In August 2006, a 7-year-old boy from Florida was bitten on the thumb by a dolphin at SeaWorld in Orlando.

● In July 2006, a 52-year-old Florida man died after a ride on the Gwazi Tiger Roller Coaster at Busch Gardens in Tampa.

● In June 2006, a 12-year-old boy from Kentucky died after a ride on the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Walt Disney World.

● In April 2006, a 49-year-old German woman died after a ride on the Mission: Space entertainment at Walt Disney World.

● In June 2005, a 4-year-old boy died after a ride on the Mission: Space entertainment at Walt Disney World.

● Since it opened in 2003, 10 serious injuries and illnesses have been reported from the Mission: Space attraction. Both Disney's Magic Kingdom's Space Mountain and Typhoon Lagoon's wave pool have reported one death and four injuries or serious illnesses since 2003
